Before New Year, buyers start searching for gifts, clothing, electronics and festive goods in large numbers. A shop that prepares in advance gets more orders and collects good reviews from happy customers. Start as early as November.
1. Check your stock
What sold well last December? Restock those items early — suppliers are overloaded by mid-December too. Taking an order for an item you don’t have and then cancelling hurts your shop’s rating.
2. Put together gift sets

3. Update your product pages

Attractive packaging for items bought as gifts is a small cost with a big impact. Pack fragile items especially well — winter roads are rough.
7. After the holidays
Returns and exchanges increase in early January. Make your return policy clear and in line with the law. And prepare stock for the January seasonal sales.
