Photos grab attention; the description helps people decide. A good description answers the buyer’s questions in advance, reduces returns and helps the product get found in search — both on the marketplace and on Google.
1. Title: precise and complete
A good title follows this structure: what + brand/model + key feature + size/colour.
- Bad: “Great jacket!!! Cheap”
- Good: “Women’s winter down coat, long, hooded, black, size 46”
Think about the words a buyer would type into search. Capital letters and exclamation marks don’t inspire trust.
2. The first sentence: the main benefit
Buyers often read only the first two sentences. Say straight away what the product is for and why it’s good: “Warm down to −25 °C, light at just 900 g, waterproof.”
3. Specifications as a list
- Material or composition.
- Dimensions and weight.
- Colour and variants.
- What’s in the box.
- Country of manufacture and warranty.
- Care (washing, storage).
Every category on Soodahub has specification fields — fill them in: buyers use these details in filters to find products.
4. For clothing and shoes: a size chart
A chart in centimetres and a line like “the model is 170 cm tall and wears size M” noticeably reduce size-related returns. Tips written for buyers: choosing sizes online.
5. Who it’s for and when
“A gift for a student”, “for a newly married couple”, “for a trip to the mountains” — describing the situation helps the buyer picture themselves with the product.
6. Honesty
Don’t over-promise. Concrete facts are more convincing than “eternal” or “the very best”. A product that doesn’t match its description means a return and a bad review.
7. Search words in two languages
In Kyrgyzstan, buyers search in Kyrgyz and Russian. Write the description in the language your buyers use most and add key words in the other language too (for example “ак калпак / ак-калпак”, “казан чоюн / чугунный казан”). That way people searching in either language will find the product.
8. Check it
- Any typos or wrong figures?
- Are the price and stock correct?
- Do the photos and text match?
Tools that help
On Soodahub you can draft a product description with AI — but always read it and check the facts before publishing. Buyers’ questions on the product page are another good source: if the same question keeps coming up, add the answer to the description.
