You can sell online in Kyrgyzstan without your own website, without a developer and without a large advertising budget. This guide walks you through it step by step: choosing products, preparing listings, opening a store on the Soodahub marketplace, taking orders in Bishkek and the regions, and getting paid.
Why a marketplace instead of your own website
Your own online store means a domain, hosting, paying a developer, setting up payments and constant advertising just to get visitors. A marketplace takes most of that off your plate: the storefront, cart, checkout and search already work, and buyers come to the platform on their own. What is left for you is what matters most — good products, clear terms and fast order handling.
If you already sell on Instagram, WhatsApp or Telegram, a marketplace does not replace those channels, it adds to them: every product gets a permanent page with price, photos and reviews that you can send to a customer as a single link and that people find through search.
Step 1. Decide on products and prices
Start with what you already know how to sell: clothing and footwear, electronics and accessories, home goods, kids' products, cosmetics, handmade national crafts. Check a few things:
- Availability. Sell what you can ship within one or two days. An order cancelled because the item is out of stock costs you the buyer's trust.
- Price in som. Look at prices for similar items on the platform and in local shops. Buyers compare, so your price has to cover your margin, packaging and, if needed, delivery.
- What sets you apart. Why is your product better: quality, size range, warranty, fast delivery, handmade? You will need this for the description.
Step 2. Register as a seller
Registering on Soodahub takes a few minutes. Create an account, enter your store name and contact details and fill in a short questionnaire about your business. Once checked, your store appears on the platform and the seller dashboard opens up products, orders, stock and payouts.
Complete your store page: logo, banner, description, delivery and return terms. Buyers look at it before ordering from a seller they do not know. Verified sellers get a "Verified" badge, which noticeably increases trust.
Step 3. Prepare your product listings
A product listing is your sales assistant. Buyers decide whether to order based on it, and search engines decide whether to show it.
- Write the title the way buyers search: what it is, brand or model, the key feature. For example, "Nike Air men's sneakers, white" rather than "Hit of the season!!!".
- Photos — on a light background, in daylight, from several angles, plus a photo in use. Blurry photos and images copied from the internet reduce sales.
- The description answers questions before they are asked: material, size, what is included, care, warranty. If writing is hard, use the built-in AI assistant in the dashboard — it drafts a text that you only need to check.
- Variants. Put sizes and colours of one product into variants of a single listing rather than separate products, so buyers see all the options at once.
- Category and attributes — choose the exact category and fill in the filters (size, colour, brand), or buyers will not find the product in the catalogue.
Step 4. Set up delivery
On Soodahub every seller sets their own delivery options: courier within the city, shipping to the regions or pickup. For each option, set a price and a delivery time. Start with what you can deliver reliably, such as a courier in Bishkek and pickup, and add delivery to Osh, Jalal-Abad, Karakol and other cities once your shipping is set up.
Describe your return rules right away as well: the time limit, the condition of the item and who pays for return shipping. Clear terms that are visible before purchase reduce disputes.
Step 5. Receive and handle orders
New orders arrive in the seller dashboard and by email. Confirm the order, pack the item and mark it as shipped — the buyer sees the status in their account. Buyers pay on delivery or by bank transfer with an uploaded receipt; the payment method is shown on every order.
Speed makes a big difference: answer buyers' questions within a few hours and ship orders on time. Good reviews and a high rating move your products up in the catalogue.
Step 6. Get paid
Your earnings are paid out through familiar local services — MBANK or O!Dengi. All credits, deductions and payouts are shown in the payouts section of the seller dashboard, so you always know how much you have earned.
How to sell more
- Add products regularly. A wider range shows up more often in search and collections.
- Keep stock up to date. An item marked "in stock" that is not actually available is the most common cause of bad reviews.
- Use promotions. Discounts, bundles and seasonal offers are set up directly in the dashboard.
- Share links. Send a link to a product or your store on Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram — buyers can place the order themselves.
- Check your analytics. Which products get views but no sales? The cause is often the photos, the price or the description.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own website? No. A store on Soodahub works as your online store, with its own page, products and reviews.
Can I sell from the regions? Yes. You can sell from any city in Kyrgyzstan — what matters is listing real delivery options and times.
Can I sell handmade goods? Yes. National crafts — ak-kalpak hats, felt products, souvenirs — are in demand among locals, tourists and the diaspora.
