The Issyk-Kul region is a resort that welcomes thousands of tourists in summer, while in winter the Karakol ski resort comes alive. For locals, though, finding the right product isn’t always easy: the choice is smaller than in Bishkek. Ordering online closes that gap.
Delivery: times and costs
On Soodahub each seller arranges their own delivery. A price and time guide for the Issyk-Kul region is on the delivery to Issyk-Kul page; the exact amount appears on the product page and at checkout, before you pay.
- Delivery to regional towns such as Karakol and Balykchy is usually faster.
- Villages along the shore may take a little longer — ask the seller how far the courier goes.
- In winter, when there is snow in the Boom Gorge, delivery can be delayed by a day or two.
Enter your address correctly
In the address form, pick the region and district from the list (for example Ak-Suu, Tüp, Jeti-Ögüz, Ton or Issyk-Kul district), then enter the village and street. If there is no house number, add a landmark (“next to the school”, “behind the shop”). Make sure your phone number is right — the courier will call it.
What you need by season
Winter
- Ski gear and warm clothing if you’re heading to the Karakol resort. Checklist: ski season.
- Heaters and warm textiles: getting your home ready for winter.
- Winter tyres and chains for the car: preparing your car for winter.
Summer
- Textiles, tableware and appliances for guesthouses and holiday homes — order before the season starts, in May.
- Beach and travel gear.
Payment
Prices are in som. Depending on the seller, you can pay cash on delivery or by bank transfer. If you pay by transfer, attach the receipt to the order. More on Payment methods.
If you run a guesthouse or business
Many families around Issyk-Kul run guesthouses in summer. If you need twenty bedding sets, dozens of towels or a new fridge, items from several sellers can go into one order. And you can sell your own products — honey, felt goods, crafts — on Soodahub: become a seller.
